Vodopad Chvakhilo
Description
Chvakhilo (Chirkhalyu) - a waterfall on the Oisor River in the Charodinsky district of the Republic of Dagestan. The most powerful waterfall in Russia. Chirhalu is located high in the mountains and therefore is one of the pulsating waterfalls. The flow of water in it depends on the melting of snow in the mountains. The Chvakhilo waterfall arose on the site of a huge glacier, which was formed back in the Ice Age. Chvakhilo is located 18 kilometers from the source of the Oisor River and two kilometers from the village of Ritlyab. The waterfall is located on the territory of the Charodinsky nature reserve, classified as a natural monument of Dagestan and protected by law. The height of the waterfall reaches 50 meters.
