Currently, for tourists visiting South Dagestan, in particular the Tabasaran and Derbent regions, specialized excursion programs have been developed with master classes at weaving mills. And in s. Their own original traditions of craft, which were carried out exclusively by women, were preserved throughout centuries in almost all mountain peoples. In the 19th century, according to statistics, there were more than 40,000 carpet weavers in Dagestan who made all kinds of carpets: pile, lint-free, felt.
