Memorial'nyy kompleks «Akhul'go»

Cultural-historical complex "Akhulgo" is an original ensemble, including a signal tower 17 meters high and an exhibition hall with an exposition, which presents artifacts from the times of the Caucasian war and thematic art canvases. We are talking about portraits of statesmen who took part in the events of 1817-1864 and the direct assault on the residence of the leader of the Caucasian highlanders. The central place in the art gallery rightfully belongs to a copy of the panorama "Storming the village of Akhulgo" by Franz Alekseevich Roubaud. The original had a huge size of 120 m in length and 12 m in height. The copy, made by a group of artists led by S. A. Akhalov, measures 24 m in length and 3 m in height. The museum also has a miniature model of Ahulgo and its environs, where visitors can visually see the course of the battle.
