The all-season tourist and recreational complex “Caspian Coastal Cluster” in the Republic of Dagestan will be able to start receiving tourists in 2026. This was stated in an interview with TASS by Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Sergey Nazarov. “The coastal cluster in Dagestan should receive the first tourists in 2026. According to our calculations, it will take about 10 billion rubles to form the necessary launch infrastructure,” Sergey Nazarov said. The launch of the cluster will require the participation of private capital, Nazarov stressed, explaining that the state creates a base, conditions for development, "and business is connected and it turns out an excellent resort." “About 200 hectares of sandy beach with very beautiful landscapes have been allocated for it. In addition, Derbent is nearby, a city with a thousand–year history, a world-class cultural heritage site and a very promising attraction point for tourists,” the deputy minister added.
