The house-museum is a two-story building built in the 19th century, in which the exiled Decembrist writer Alexander Alexandrovich Bestuzhev-Marlinsky lived during his exile in the Caucasus. For a long time the building was privately owned. On October 12, 1988, a museum was opened that tells about the history of the Decembrist A.A. Bestuzhev-Marlinsky. The exposition of the museum consists of four rooms. They present preserved household items used by the Decembrist writer. These exhibits recreate the atmosphere of Bestuzhev's rooms, speak of the Decembrist's attitude to local customs and peculiarities of his life
