Rostourism on a competitive basis has chosen the first projects for the arrangement of tourist centers of cities. Derbent is among the cities that won the competition. 215 million rubles will be allocated for the design of the tourist code for the center of the city of Derbent.
The competition received 85 applications from 56 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. 31 projects will receive support for a total of 6 billion rubles. The projects that have passed the competitive selection will be completed in 2023.
The arrangement of tourist centers in cities is a completely new measure to support Rostourism, which was first launched this year as part of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality Industry". The implementation of the measure will make it possible to create a city center convenient for tourists, in which key objects of attraction and places of recreation will be combined.
Earlier, the Ministry of Tourism and NHP RD, together with the administration of the city of Derbent, sent an application for participation in the competitive selection to the Federal Tourism Agency.
