Experts of the Youtravel portal named Dagestan the most popular destination for author tourism among Russians in 2022. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the company's press service.
The region has become a leader, ahead of such popular destinations as Karelia and Kamchatka.
According to the co-founder of the company Olga Bortnikova, Dagestan remains the most popular region since 2020. Last year, the republic accounted for almost half of all author's tours sold (49.2 percent).
