Dagestan takes part in the tourist exhibition MITT 2023

The 29th International Tourism Exhibition MITT opened today in Moscow at the Crocus Expo IEC. For the second year, the Ministry of Tourism of Dagestan participates in the exhibition as a strategic partner. At the official opening of the event, the Minister of Tourism and NHP of the RD Emin Merdanov spoke. "I would like to express my gratitude to the organizers of the exhibition for the fact that the Republic of Dagestan has received the status of a strategic partner of MITT for the second year in a row. I think this is an assessment of the fact that Dagestan has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Russian Federation today," the head of the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic stressed. The Ministry has prepared a large exposition, the program of which is dedicated to the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the national poet Rasul Gamzatov. During the day, the poet's poems were played at the stand and films about him were shown. Tour operators, hoteliers and representatives of the tourist and recreational complex of the republic presented tourist offers to visitors of the exhibition. Workshops were also organized on the manufacture of carpet products, Balkhara ceramics and Untsukul products with an ornamental notch. Several important agreements were signed at the exhibition. So, Emin Merdanov and the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Military-Civil Administration of the Zaporozhye region Radik Isyakaev signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of tourism. It involves the organization of comprehensive cooperation in order to promote tourism resources in the domestic and global tourism markets, improve the quality of tourist services, as well as the preparation and implementation of joint interregional projects in the field of tourism. The second was the signing of an agreement between the Ministry of Tourism of Dagestan and the airline Nordwind. The document fixes agreements on assistance in the development and strengthening of tourist flows to the Republic of Dagestan on regular flights of the airline in 2023. It should be noted that Nordwind is among the largest airlines in Russia in terms of passenger turnover and has one of the most developed route networks of regular flights in the country. Ruslan Akhmedov, Director of GBU RD "Tourist Center of the Republic of Dagestan" and Denis Ilyin, Director of the Ulyanovsk Region Tourism Agency, also signed a cooperation agreement. On May 1, direct flights to Makhachkala will be opened from Ulyanovsk. In this regard, the parties plan to organize work aimed at popularizing the tourist potential of Dagestan and the Ulyanovsk region and contributing to an increase in mutual tourist flow. The second day of the exhibition is ahead. At the stand of the republic, the cultural program, workshops on the manufacture of folk art crafts will continue, and more than 20 certificates for holidays in Dagestan will be awarded.
