The Ministry of Tourism of Dagestan and Nordwind Airline signed an agreement on strategic partnership

On March 16, in Moscow, within the framework of the 29th International Exhibition of Tourism and the Hospitality Industry MITT 2023, an agreement on strategic partnership in the field of tourism development was signed between the Ministry of Tourism and Folk Arts of the Republic of Moldova and the airline Nordwind. The document fixes agreements on assistance in the development and strengthening of tourist flows to the Republic of Dagestan on regular flights of the airline in 2023. Emin Merdanov, Minister of Tourism and NHP of the Republic of Dagestan, noted that this agreement will increase the level of accessibility of Dagestan for residents of other regions. "We are actively cooperating with companies engaged in air transportation and are interested in opening new flights and routes. I am sure that through joint efforts with Nordwind Airline, we will be able to increase the level of accessibility of Dagestan for residents from other regions of our country, which will contribute to an increase in tourist flow to the region and the development of domestic tourism," the minister stressed. Deputy CEO of Nordwind Airlines, Commercial Director Anton Mattis commented: "Our airline is systematically developing Dagestan as a tourist destination. In the upcoming summer period, we will operate flights to Makhachkala from 14 points of the Russian Federation, including Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Omsk, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen, Novokuznetsk, St. Petersburg, Orenburg, Perm, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Ufa, Kazan and Moscow. As part of the Dagestan promotion strategy, together with the Ministry of Tourism and Folk Arts of the Republic, a series of joint actions is planned in the regions of Russia, the purpose of which is to further increase the tourist flow." Nordwind is one of the largest airlines in Russia in terms of passenger turnover and has one of the most developed route networks of regular flights in the country.
